Summer Round up!
(October 01, 2022)For such a small club we really do so well for ourselves and 2022 has been a fantastic one for team Yarm! Here's a round up of the summer qualifiers and championships.
Horse Trials:
Area Qualifier - 19th June
What an utterly fantastic day for team Yarm at the Area 2 Horse Trials Qualifiers! We had 2 teams competing in the 80cm: Yarm Red made up of Helen Hardy, Kate Chapman, Babs Allen & Lauren Green who came team 1st and Ind 6th, 3rd, and 2nd respectively!!
Yarm Blue made up of Emily Dawes, Kate Chapman, Aimee Whiteside & Chloe Hardwick came team 6th with Aimee coming Ind 6th.
In the 80cm open Lucy Austick came Ind 2nd, 90cm Libby Lupton came Ind 7th and in the 100cm Claire Chapman came Ind 1st!
Good luck to the 80 team and Claire down at the champs in Aug And a BIG BIG thank you to the volunteers from the club and the whole event who allow the event to go ahead and run smoothly on the day
Championships - 7th Aug
Mixed weekend for our riders at the Horse Trials Champs. Two fantastic placings for 80 team riders Lauren and Kate who came 6th and 8th respectively and lots learnt for debut rider Babs and Helen over a very difficult XC. 100 rider Claire had a fantastic dressage, but it unfortunately wasn't to be XC. The club are immensely proud of all the riders, and we know they've all had a fantastic time away no matter the result.
Lincoln:
Dressage Qualifier - 24th July
Where to even begin with today’s results at the Dressage and Riding Test Qualifiers! Team Yarm are simply flippin' fantastic. We are so incredibly proud of our members who choose to be a part of the club and compete for us. Here's hoping no one is missed off the list (and all is typed correctly):

A Truly fantastic day. We wish all our members who have qualified for Lincoln National Champs the best of luck. We will have a strong contingent going down as they join our 70cm SJ team who also qualified a few weeks ago
Show jumping Qualifier - 3rd July
Another fantastic day for team Yarm yesterday at the SJ and Style Q our 70cm SJ team won and have qualified for Lincoln national champs in September and individually Theo came 1st and Chloe 4th. Then our 80cm team came 4th with Babs coming Ind 3rd. Big well-done ladies as always
Championships – 3rd September
After fantastic qualifying results the riders who travelled down to Lincoln for the National Champs really did themselves proud! These major competitions are always to hotly contested that even taking part is a real achievement. We had some amazing results which included.

Dressage to music Qualifier – 14th August
Ann was our solo representative at the dressage to music competition and managed to win! Her novice music section. She will travel down to the Champs in October. Good luck Ann!
